A NOTE FROM OUR PILOTS:
🎈 Balloon Glows & Weather: Why Mother Nature Gets the Final Say

We’re less than a week away from the glow, but we wanted to share something that plays a huge role in every balloon event: the weather.

Even though the balloons aren’t flying during a glow, they are still very weather dependent. Once inflated, a hot air balloon becomes a very large sail, so wind speed, gusts, changing wind direction, nearby storms, and other conditions all matter.

Our pilots and crews want to put on the show and will do everything we reasonably can to inflate and give everyone a great experience. At the same time, we have to keep conditions safe for our pilots and crews, the crowd, and the equipment.

Sometimes a beautiful evening on the ground still isn’t a good evening for balloons, and ultimately, Mother Nature gets the final vote.
As we get closer, we’ll share more about the forecast, what we’re watching, and how conditions are looking for the glow.
🎈 We control the burners. Mother Nature controls the rest.
